BJ's Grad Night Fundraiser Flyer
Eat at BJ's Restaurant and Help Your School!
NHS Class of 2016 Grad Night is hosting an all-day fundraiser at BJ's Restaurant in the Irvine Market Place on Thursday, October 8


Join us there with your family and friends and watch the Colts and Texans battle it off. Bring in the attached flyer and BJ's will donate 15% of the sales to NHS. We appreciate your support while you are having a great time with your loved ones!

Help Our School Raise Funds 
by Simply Cleaning Out Your Shoe Closet!  
Our goal is to collect 5000 lbs. of SHOES from Sept. 28 - Oct. 21. We're in need of gently used Athletic Shoes, Dress Shoes, Boots, Sandals, Sneakers, any footwear!  Donation boxes will be located in Senior TA rooms and in front of the Student Activities Center (SAC). We will also hold a Saturday collection day at Northwood High School on Oct. 17, from 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM.  Join us in this recycling effort and fundraising event to benefit Grad Night! Please make sure shoes are paired together and in reusable condition. Thank you for helping us meet our goal! Master Drive Seminar on Teen Driving and Safety
Parents, bring your teens with you to a special Master Drive presentation at Northwood High School on Thursday, October 22, at 6:30 PM in the theater.  Hear shocking statistics about the risks to teen drivers. Find out what a teen driver needs to learn (limitations of the road conditions, dynamics of a vehicle in motion, etc.) to become a safe driver. Hope you all enjoyed Back-to-School Night, meeting the teachers and hearing about all the exciting things your students will be learning this academic year! A SPECIAL THANKS to Hospitality Co-Chairs Debra Kam and Patty Schell for organizing the beverages and snacks, to all the parents who donated sweets and drinks, to Peet's Coffee in Orchard Hills for donating the coffee and to FivePoint Communities for donating 40 cases of bottled water. Thank you!

Congratulations to NHS seniors and teachers!

Last spring, all 11th graders participated in the inaugural California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP). Not only did the Irvine Unified School District (IUSD) rank #1 among all the school districts in Orange County, but our very own Northwood High School scored the highest among the four Irvine high schools!
