Thank You Pride of the Pack Volunteers!


Special thank you to PTSA Hospitality Co-Chairs Patty Schell and Lupe Howard for organizing the Pride of the Pack breakfast held last Tuesday before the assembly.  Additional special appreciation to Diane Aviles, a NHS alumni parent who came in the early morning to help, PTSA board members, and the NHS staff and teachers, including Dr. Roach, who all came together to help put this event together. Congratulations to all students with their families who were recognized at Pride of the Pack this year! #NHSbettertogether

PTSA Event: “Screenagers Next Chapter”

PTSA presents this special screening with guest Megan Keller, LMFT, NHS Mental Health Specialist. This is a follow up and second chapter of our first screening of “Screenagers” from 2017.  This film continues the topic of screen time for teenagers, but in this next chapter it furthers discussions on the effects of screen time and social media on teenagers and how parents deal with it.  Please join us on this important topic of how the effects of screen time impacts our students and the resources available for support. Dr. Kelly Tran, O.D., graduated from the University of Southern California, USC with a degree in Chemical Engineering. She then received her Doctor of Optometry degree from the Illinois

College of Optometry in Chicago. Dr.Tran is currently in her private practice in Tustin.

Career: Aerospace Engineering

Sara Song has worked for 19 years in the United States aerospace industry, at aircraft Tier 1 supplier companies. Her experience is mainly related to Flight Control system development, but she also has broader knowledge and involvement in other aircraft systems, project management and marketing. Her work involves system architecture, software architecture, product development, system and software requirement definition, development and verification etc. With various project assignments, her roles have been Software Engineer, System Engineer/Program Lead/Engineering Manager. Her aerospace career started at Honeywell Aerospace, and she later worked at Parker Aerospace and the Safran Passenger Solution Division.

Jeff Demaio is a financial planner at a leading financial services firm and has been working in the personal financial industry for over 25 years.  Jeff advises senior corporate executives, entrepreneurs, and private investors and their families on personal financial planning strategies including company equity planning and benefits and compensation maximization, tax compliance, estate planning, wealth transfer, charitable planning, investment strategy and risk management.  Jeff has a bachelor's degree in finance, real estate and law from California State University, Long Beach and a Master of Business Administration in finance from Golden Gate University.
