Appreciation for NHS Teachers, Administration and Staff

Thank you to our teachers, administration and staff at NHS for setting up communications so quickly with our students and families. Keeping connected is so important during these day to day and ever evolving times. Some districts are struggling to continue instruction, but the hard work put into distance learning helps our students to continue the semester as best as possible. We are lucky and grateful for you all.

Remembrance of Ali Gholamrezaei

It is with a profound sadness to hear about the passing of our fellow student, Ali Gholamrezaei. Our hearts are heavy and go out to his family and friends during this most difficult time. To virtually honor Ali and support his family during this time of tremendous loss, please consider giving to the GoFundMe page set up at https://www.gofundme.com/f/in-honor-of-ali-gholamrezaei?utm_source=customer&utm_medium=copy_link-tip&utm_campaign=p_cp+share-sheet

We mourn the sad loss of Ali with our community at Northwood HS.

With deepest condolences,

NHS PTSA

IPSF Innovative Grants Program Award - Northwood High

Letter from IPSF Director of Marketing & Communications, Kellie Pendergest:

Good morning!

I wanted to extend our congratulations to your school community! As you may have already heard, your school received a grant award as part of IPSF’s 2020 Innovative Grants Program. The grant recipients were recognized last week at a special reception in their honor. Your school received the following grant:

Northwood High School - $4,716.8

Hope Squad: Preventing Youth Suicide

Megan Keller

A peer-based suicide prevention program to reduce self-destructive behavior and youth suicide by training, building, and creating positive culture change in schools and communities.

Please help in spreading the news to your PTA board and sharing with your parent community when possible. IPSF grants are funded through corporate sponsors and the Parents Appreciating Teachers and Staff (PATS) program. Parents who purchase PATS are helping to promote innovation in classrooms across the district and make grants like this possible. We have launched the PATS campaign and appreciate your help in making that connection so that your parents understand how their support benefits your school directly! PATS are available now at www.ipsf.net/pats.

To learn more about this grant and how your school will implement it, I would encourage you to contact the teacher(s) listed above and/or your principal for more information.

Thank you!!!

Kellie

IPSF PATS Campaign

Congratulations to Northwood for receiving in Innovative Grant from IPSF titled “Hope Squad-Preventing Youth Suicide” which will help support a peer-based suicide prevention program.

Grants like the above are made possible by IPSF with the support from parents/guardians. Funds raised from the Parents Appreciating Teachers and Staff (PATS) campaign directly support grants for IUSD staff and students. PATS is an easy way to show our teachers, nurses, and administration how much we appreciate all that they do! For a small donation, IPSF provides NHS teachers and staff a certificate of appreciation, which includes a personal message from you and your student, along with a small gift as an expression of gratitude during National Teacher Appreciation Week in May.

To contribute to the PATS campaign and purchase your gift of appreciation, please visit: www.ipsf.net/pats
