Calling all PTSA members!  Join the Nominating Committee to help form the 2021-2022 PTSA Board.  The Nominating Committee will be looking for volunteers to fill board positions for the 2021-2022 school year.  Per our bylaws, all positions are open and nominees will be considered for the following positions:

3. VP 1- Membership 

4. VP 2 - Programs 

5. VP 3 – Grad Night 

6. Secretary 

7. Treasurer 

8. Financial Secretary 

9. Auditor 

10. Historian

PTSA ADVOCACY

Advocacy for NHS Juniors and Seniors:

Every year, each Irvine high school sponsors 5 students to take a trip to Sacramento. This year it will be a virtual conference and will take place the week of March (final dates and times TBD). 

 

The purpose of the conference is to meet with state lawmakers and staff to express public education concerns and ideas, hear from a variety of experts on state education policy and network with IUSD students, administrators, and school board members. Students attending the virtual conference will go through several information gathering meetings with IUSD school leadership and will be expected to research on their own. This is an exciting opportunity!

If you are interested, please fill out the application attached (including teacher recommendation) and return it to Dr. Roach by January 6th. Applications are also available in the front office. 

Advocacy for NHS Parents:

SAVE THE DATE! Sacramento Safari 2021 Goes Virtual 

Sneak Peek - February 5th / Sacramento Safari Week - February 22-26

FREE Registration (Must be a current PTA member). Events will be interactive and at various times each day so that any current PTA member can participate in this educational legislative learning experience at their convenience. Speakers will be both elected officials and education experts in their fields. Updates on registration and speakers to follow in coming weeks.
