IPSF Innovative Grants Program Award -
Northwood High
Letter from IPSF Director of Marketing &
Communications, Kellie Pendergest:
Good morning!
I wanted to extend our
congratulations to your school community! As you may have already heard, your
school received a grant award as part of IPSF’s 2020 Innovative Grants Program.
The grant recipients were recognized last week at a special reception in their
honor. Your school received the following grant:
Northwood High School - $4,716.8
Hope Squad: Preventing
Youth Suicide
Megan Keller
A peer-based suicide
prevention program to reduce self-destructive behavior and youth suicide by
training, building, and creating positive culture change in schools and
communities.
Please help in
spreading the news to your PTA board and sharing with your parent community
when possible. IPSF grants are funded through corporate sponsors and the
Parents Appreciating Teachers and Staff (PATS) program. Parents who purchase
PATS are helping to promote innovation in classrooms across the district and
make grants like this possible. We have launched the PATS campaign and
appreciate your help in making that connection so that your parents understand
how their support benefits your school directly! PATS are available now at www.ipsf.net/pats.
To learn more about
this grant and how your school will implement it, I would encourage you to
contact the teacher(s) listed above and/or your principal for more information.
