The Northwood PTSA invites Parents to attend a special screening of the movie “LIKE” with guests Debra Sussman and Michael Uram. The movie is designed to address the impact of social media and the effects on the teen brain and to educate families on how to navigate the pros/cons of a technology that is based on likes and shares that prioritizes a battle for our attention and social comparison that exceeds human vulnerabilities. Debra Sussman, MA, AMFT has advanced education at Harvard Medical School using evidence based practices in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Collaborative Problem Solving. Ms. Sussman is also a Marriage and Family Therapist.
Michael Uram, LMFT, LPCC is a psychotherapist specializing in treating teenagers, ADHD, Asperger’s, Anxiety and Depression and Parenting difficulties.
