Sacramento Trip on Education Issues
Juniors and Seniors: Each year the PTSA sponsors 5 students on a trip to Sacramento. The purpose of the trip is to meet with state lawmakers and staff to express public education concerns and ideas, hear from a variety of experts on state education policy, and network with IUSD students, administrators, and school board members. Students attending the trip will go through several information gathering meetings and will be expected to research on their own. This is an exciting opportunity! If you are interested, please fill out the attached application (including teacher recommendation) and return it to Dr. Leslie Roach by January 8th, 2016. Applications are also available in the front office. If you have questions regarding this program please contact Dr. Roach at leslieroach@iusd.org.
