Would you Like to Talk about your Career?

To provide NHS students exposure to a variety of career paths after high school, the PTSA, with the help of our counseling department, began Lunchtime Career Speakers six years ago. We target careers based on interest data gathered from the students through Naviance, the counseling department, as well as various surveys conducted at our PTSA events. unchtime Career presentations are done on a volunteer basis. They are about half an hour, happen twice a month, and run from November through May - plenty of time to plan ahead!

The lunch times at NHS for 2018-2019 are as follows:
Monday and Friday -11:35 a.m. -12:10 p.m. ,
Tuesday and Thursday -11:50 a.m. -12:25 p.m. and
Wednesday -11:55 a.m. -12:30 p.m.

Usually, the students are interested in knowing about a career, its path- academic requirements, day to day realities of the career, salary info, growth prospects, job satisfaction, different options available in the field, etc.

If you are available and interested in sharing your career with the students and/or need more information, please email: Anita Raman at programsPTSAnhs@gmail.com
