April is Emergency / Safety Preparedness Month:
Are you and your family prepared?
Northwood High School is ready and regularly practices emergency and safety preparedness. However, once students leave campus, are they going to a place that is equally prepared? The Northwood High School PTSA’s Emergency Preparedness Committee believes that most families can improve their emergency / safety readiness.

Please attend an important presentation to learn more about Emergency Preparedness both at NHS and at home. Our featured speaker will be an internationally recognized expert on school and corporate security, Mr. Along Stivi. We’ll also hear about NHS’ emergency plans and the Irvine Community Emergency Response Team (“CERT”). Join us on Thursday, April 16th in the NHS Theatre, starting promptly at 6:30 p.m.  Mark your calendars and attend, we promise you will learn something!

NHS Named a Grammy Signature School for a Record 6th Time!
Congratulations to Northwood on being named a GOLD level Grammy Signature School, one of only 3 such schools in the Nation to reach this elite level. This award is recognition of the incredible music program at Northwood and our amazing teachers and students. In addition to receiving this highly prestigious award, Northwood has been selected by the Grammy Foundation to represent them on Capitol Hill in April to advocate for the arts. The Foundation will be presenting a video on our music program, and one director and one student will be flown to Washington D.C. to participate.  Zach Halop (Choral Director) and Claire Paladichuk (NHS Student) will be the Northwood High School Music representatives.
