Come and ask the professionals in the field all about their careers. What are the necessary qualifications? What is the expected salary and growth options? What are positives & negatives of the ​profession​? What should you do to prepare for this career?

Dr. Mary Yu Danico is a Director, Michi and Walter Weglyn Endowed chair; Director, Asian American Transnational Research Initiative; and Professor of Sociology at Cal Poly Pomona. She was an Associate Dean of the College of Environmental Design at Cal Poly Pomona. She has authored 3 books, one encyclopedia, and numerous articles on issues of immigration, migration, race relations, family, and youth generation. She went to Burlingame High school in Northern California, UC Davis for her BA in Sociology, and PhD in Sociology at the University of Hawaii at Manoa. She was a Fulbright Scholar in 2005-2006 and currently is a Fulbright Alumni Ambassador. She is a past president of the Association for Asian American Studies and is currently working a research regarding what is important to the Gen I and Screen Generation.
