career as an Aerospace and Mechanical engineer. Dr. Ganesh Raman is the Asst.
Vice Chancellor for Research for the California State University System. Dr.
Raman oversees the vision and administration of Cal State’s research and
scholarly mission and is a senior member of the Academic and Student Affairs
administrative team. He is internationally recognized for his research in the
areas of aeroacoustics and flow control and has published over 150 articles in
leading scientific journals and conferences. Dr. Raman is also the founding
ditor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Aeroacoustics.
Prior to joining the
Cal State Chancellor’s office, Dr. Raman was a Professor of Aerospace and
Mechanical Engineering and the Deputy Vice Provost for Research at the Illinois
Institute of Technology. He was also a researcher at the NASA Glenn Research
Center for 14 years.
Dr. Raman received his
PhD from Case Western University. He is a fellow of the American Institute of
Aeronautics and Astronautics and a Fellow of the American Society of Mechanical
Engineers and the Royal Aeronautical Society, UK.
